Randau Kasih by Kasih with Katimas CSR Campaign

KATIMAS Group recently hosted its Randau Kasih Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative, bringing together community members and key partners to provide essential resources and bridge gaps in knowledge and digital skills for those in need.
Held at Wild Pantry, the program featured a series of impactful activities aimed at uplifting the community. A soup kitchen served approximately 200 packs of warm meals to promote a sense of care and solidarity. Financial literacy workshops, ‘Wanita Bijak Dunia Kewangan’ and ‘Remaja Celik Kewangan’, were conducted for women and teens, equipping them with tools to manage their finances effectively and make informed decisions.
Additionally, ‘Frosty Code Journey with Snowman’, a coding program for children, was offered to introduce them to the digital world and enhance their creativity and technical skills. As part of the event, extra food packs were also delivered to individuals and families in need within the local community, further extending the initiative’s reach and impact.
This initiative was made possible through the support of Hope Place Kuching, Purple Lily Association Kuching and Breakthrough Network Centre, who joined KATIMAS in its mission to empower individuals and promote sustainable development. These nonprofit organizations played a vital role in the success of Randau Kasih, ensuring its reach and impact were felt throughout the community. More than 100 participants were given the opportunity to not only receive immediate support but also gain knowledge and skills to help them thrive in today’s digital economy.
Speaking on the significance of the event, Dato’ Franco Lee, Group Chairman of KATIMAS Group of Companies, shared, “Our CSR represents our ongoing commitment to positively impacting the lives of underprivileged communities. We are not only providing immediate assistance but also empowering participants with the tools and expertise they need to build a more promising future.”
